720ps, $1 million, 50 built by Italdesign+Nissan.
Somehow this slid under my radar, or I ignored it. It’s sort of a weird one - even with all that power it’s just a Nissan and it’s not exactly pretty.
I wonder if this is just exploiting the GT-R brand to extract money from mega-rich collectors. Especially given both this and the Z are more than 12 years old, still in production and have no evidence of a successor or any true future development at all. It feels like Nissan’s heart isn’t in the sports car game, but they’re going to extract a few more million from it while they can.
That said, if they’re doing it to help fund future sports car development or otherwise convince management of its value, I can get behind that.

I remember when this debuted and I thought it was awkward and overpriced. But the more I see it the more I like it. It’s got a certain drama to it. Now I think it’s at least interesting (and still overpriced)

They could’ve fixed it. But then they didn’t.

I think the interesting design would be more interesting if it wasn’t priced out the roof. Something about that whole scenario is just wrong

Wish they’d done something like this
Still pretty weird, but with a lower profile, turning the car into more of a supercar.
When you compare the two it’s pretty clear they just stuck bits onto what is very much the existing car underneath.

it’s a M ustang nose with C amaro fender flares in the rear... I want to love it, but it’s just too wrong

I wouldn’t kick out anything worth that much money ;) Think how much NSX that could buy
